Texas Whitetail Deer Hunting
Texas is arguably the king of whitetail deer hunting, supporting an estimated
whitetail population of approximately four million whitetail deer.
Texas whitetail deer hunting is no doubt the heart and soul of Wildlife
Systems, Inc., and we have been specializing in offering quality Texas whitetail
hunting trips for 21 years. If you are looking for a great Texas whitetail deer
hunt, look no farther, as we can accommodate most any whitetail hunting trip.
Why Hunt Whitetail Deer With Us?
Simply put, WSI is the most diverse whitetail deer hunting outfitter in the
business. We currently provide Whitetail Deer packages / guided Texas deer hunts
on approximately 125,000 acres which is made up of several different hunting
leases or ranches located in various areas of Texas including South, Central,
and West Texas. Since 1987, we have hosted hunting for approximately 3,000
whitetail deer hunters, and we have never had a given year where less than 90%
of our hunters have taken their whitetail bucks.
Our overall success
rate since 1987 has been over 95% on our Texas whitetail deer hunts. We take
some giant whitetails deer every year, even on some of our less expensive
whitetail hunts. Yes, we do offer Texas deer hunts of various price ranges which
are dictated by the particular hunting lease or ranch you choose to book and not
the size of the whitetail buck you take. We can also tailor a Texas deer hunt to
suit specific needs, and we can easily accommodate corporate groups, family
hunts, or individuals. Also, don’t forget, we are staffed by two full-time
wildlife biologists, and all of our Texas deer hunting leases or ranches are
strictly managed so that we can grow a high percentage of mature, healthy bucks.
The largest number of groups we are hunting on any one lease or ranch is four
per year, and most are two or three groups hunting per year, which helps prevent
our whitetail bucks from turning nocturnal or becoming extremely spooky.

Description of Texas Whitetail Deer Hunting Properties and Camps
One aspect of WSI’s Texas whitetail deer hunting that makes us so unique is
our diverse land base. We are currently offering whitetail deer hunts on 11
different hunting leases or ranches totaling almost 125,000 acres. Our Texas
deer hunts take place in several popular deer hunting regions of Texas,
including the Brush Country of South Texas, the Hill Country of Central Texas,
as well as the Rolling Plains region in Western Texas.
Property sizes for our
Texas whitetail deer hunts vary up to 43,000 acres in size. Of the eleven Texas
deer hunting leases or ranches we hunt, five are completely enclosed with a high
fence which allows for tighter management application. The others are considered
free-range type whitetail deer hunts.

Our Texas whitetail deer hunting camps vary as well, from basic ranch houses
to new, well-appointed lodges. All of our camps are clean and comfortable with
all modern amenities, but a few camps are a bit flashier and newer than the
others. Most sleeping arrangements are either two or three person occupancy per
bedroom, and some camps are indeed more suitable for husband/wife combos than
others.
Why Are Whitetail Hunts Priced Differently?
This is a very common question. Our Texas deer hunts are often priced based on location of
property and intensity/cost of management program. Simply, all things considered
equal, you will generally pay more for South Texas whitetail hunting than any
other region in the state, thus our South Texas whitetail hunts are priced
accordingly. Additionally, our high fenced Texas deer hunting properties are on
intensive feeding programs, and this is factored into the price. As a rule, our
higher priced whitetail deer hunts will yield a little stronger average on buck
sizes, but there are occasionally exceptions to this, and in some years we will
take our best whitetail bucks on our less expensive whitetail deer hunts. Total
buck numbers are as good, or even higher, on our lower priced Texas deer hunts
than our more expensive hunts. So, regardless of how our whitetail hunts are
priced, they are all quality deer hunts where you stand a good chance of taking
a whitetail buck of a lifetime.
What Is Furnished on Your Texas Deer Hunts?
All
of our Texas whitetail hunts are set up as all-inclusive, package type hunts.

that will satisfy most any taste, and we assure you, you will not go hungry.
Airport shuttle is included from the nearest airport, but arrival and departure

Current cost of nonresident Texas deer hunting
license is $300. There are no restrictions in Texas, so we do get a fair amount
of youth hunting interest, and their license is only $6.00.
Texas Whitetail Hunting Methods
Our whitetail hunting strategy is variable
and sometimes flexible. It is often dictated by property we are hunting, time of
season, hunter’s ability and interest, and intuition of guide. We employ a
combination of methods including stand hunting, spotting and stalking, antler
rattling, still hunting, and a limited amount of safari style or vehicle
hunting. Our stands vary from comfortable enclosed box hunting blinds to
portable tripods, portable cloth blinds, and occasional brush blinds. It is
legal to deer hunt over feed in Texas, and we do a tremendous amount of feeding
which allows us to concentrate deer, making them a bit more visible. And yes, we
can accommodate most physical abilities on our Texas deer hunts.
What Can You
Expect on Your Texas Deer Hunts?
We will give you an honest, professional effort
at taking care of your needs. You will be fed well, treated courteously, with a
staff that is instructed to be attentive to personalized service. You can expect
to see tremendous game numbers on Texas whitetail hunts, and it is not uncommon
for each hunter to see 8-15 bucks daily; some hunters may likely see 20-30 bucks
in a day’s time. The quality of whitetail deer our hunters see and take will be
commensurate with how the deer hunts were promoted, and virtually all of our
harvested bucks will have over eight points and approximately 75% will have nine
points or more, with spreads typically ranging from 17” - 22”. We have taken
whitetail deer up to 21 points and spreads up to 27.5” on our Texas whitetail
deer hunts.
